Welcome back, Selectors!

This marks the final article on the spoilers for the Blue Archive Collaboration. In this piece, we’ll focus on the Piece cards from the set. These cards are designed to work in pairs, as seen in previous collaborations. Certain Pieces allow you to play others, creating a synergy that enhances your deck’s efficiency.

Let’s dive in and analyze the first two Pieces, which unlock the ability to play the other collaboration Pieces: "Kronos News Club" and "General Student Council."

The Opening Pieces

Kronos News Club

  • Cost: 0
  • Timing: Main Phase only
  • Effect: Draw 2 cards, then discard 2 cards. Gain Bond with a student of your choice.

General Student Council

  • Cost: 0
  • Timing: Main Phase only
  • Effect: Look at the top 3 cards of your deck. Add a "Blue Archive" card to your hand. Gain Bond with a student of your choice.

Both cards serve to kick off your game by enabling Bond abilities on specific cards. The key difference lies in their utility:

  • Kronos News Club improves your hand quality by cycling cards.
  • General Student Council provides a small card advantage by fetching a Blue Archive card.

Your choice between these two will depend on your deck’s strategy. Both are excellent options to start the game on the right foot.

The Advanced Pieces

Next, we have four Pieces that can only be played after activating one of the opening Pieces. All four share the following traits:

  • Timing: Main Phase only
  • Shared Ability: Send 4 cards from under your Lrig to the Trash to gain Bond with a student of your choice.

Let’s take a closer look at each:

Tea Party

  • Cost: 0
  • Requirements: Dream Team with at least 1 white Lrig.
  • Effect: Look at the top 5 cards of your deck, add a "Blue Archive" card to your hand, and gain 1 Signi Barrier.

This Piece offers a small card advantage while providing a defensive edge with the Signi Barrier. It’s a solid mid-game option, especially in a deck with a more defensive playstyle.

Seminar

  • Cost: 1
  • Requirements: Dream Team with at least 1 blue Lrig.
  • Effect: Freeze an opponent’s Lrig and draw 4 cards.

The card advantage here is enormous, with no drawbacks. Additionally, freezing the opponent’s Lrig disrupts their strategy, making it effective against aggro and hand control decks. Its versatility makes it ideal for both mid and late-game scenarios.

Masked Swimsuit Gang

  • Cost: 2
  • Requirements: Dream Team with at least 1 green Lrig.
  • Effect: Shuffle your Trash into your deck. Then, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, add any number to your hand, and place the rest in your Ener Zone.

This Piece shines with its flexibility. It enables resource management by splitting cards between your hand and Ener Zone while preventing damage from refresh by shuffling the Trash back into your deck. While it lacks a direct defensive ability, its indirect benefits are significant, especially for late-game resource management.

Gehenna Academy: Perfect Team

  • Cost: 2
  • Requirements: Dream Team with at least 1 black Lrig.
  • Effect: Give -8000 power to an opponent’s Signi, retrieve up to 3 cards from your Trash (excluding Guard cards), and send the top 8 cards of your opponent’s deck to the Trash.

This Piece is an all-rounder, providing:

  • Lane clearing with the -8000 power debuff.
  • Resource recovery by retrieving critical cards.
  • Deck milling, potentially causing damage from refresh.

Its versatility makes it a standout choice, useful in aggressive or control strategies.

With this, we conclude our coverage of the spoilers for the upcoming Blue Archive collaboration, releasing this Friday! Stay tuned for our next article, where a dedicated player will showcase some exciting decks built around this expansion.

Until next time, Batoru!
