The 4 New Center Lrigs of the Blue Archive Collab

Welcome back, Selectors! Today, we're here with a brand new article as we approach the release of the collaboration between Wixoss and Blue Archive. This time, we’ll be focusing on analyzing the four new Center Lrigs introduced. We hope you're all excited for the upcoming release. So without further ado, let’s get started!
Azusa Shirasu [Intulit Mortem]

Let’s start with Azusa Shirasu, the white center Lrig that has seen a lot of play in Japan, even winning a ceremony soon after the set's release. Azusa is an incredibly powerful Lrig with a 1xTurn ability, which allows you to bounce an opponent’s Signi back to their hand for 2 ener. This is already a very strong ability, as it opens up your opponent’s defense without giving them ener, making it easier to advance the game and deal additional damage.
If you have 3 or more Life Cloth, instead of bouncing the Signi back to the hand, it goes directly to the trash, preventing your opponent from replaying it later. This creates an open line of attack without giving your opponent extra ener.
Additionally, Azusa has the Bond ability, which allows you to look at the top 3 cards of your deck and add one to your hand once per turn for just 1 ener. This ensures you’ll rarely run out of resources. Azusa combines control and resource generation, making her a solid choice for players who want versatility and power.
Neru Mikamo [You Got a Death Wish or Somethin'?]
Next, we have Neru Mikamo, the blue Lrig, who revolves around discarding cards to activate her effects. At the start of your attack phase, if you’ve discarded 2 or more cards from your hand during that turn, you can pay 1 Blue Ener to reduce the power of an opponent’s Signi by 10,000. This is a valuable removal tool for blue Lrigs, as it offers a high power reduction.
The condition of "discarding two or more cards" can be easily met, not only through Neru’s own Bond ability, but also through various Blue Archive Signi like Yuka Hayase and Koyuki Kurosaki. Additionally, her 1xGame ability allows you to draw 2 cards while forcing your opponent to discard one. The Bond ability lets you draw 2 cards and discard one, which helps trigger Neru's automatic ability. However, there’s always stiff competition among blue Lrigs, so it remains to be seen whether Neru can surpass Piruluk and others to become the best blue Lrig.
Shiroko Sunaookami [Drone: Fire Support]

Moving on to Shiroko Sunaookami, the green Lrig, she focuses on maximizing the use of the Ener Zone, which aligns with what we expect from her. Her automatic ability, which triggers at the beginning of your attack phase, gives S Lancer to one of your Signi if two or more cards have been placed in the Ener Zone during the turn. This might seem difficult, but if you use the Ener Phase to charge 1 ener, you only need one more card, and with Signi like Kotoriyu Hoshino that actively generate ener, achieving this is quite feasible.
S Lancer is particularly effective against decks that try to protect themselves by adding Barrier Signi or keeping a solid, protected board (such as Sunspot Memory or Exia). Shiroko’s 1xGame ability allows you to Enercharge 3, guaranteeing her automatic ability's activation, and then retrieve a Signi from the Ener Zone. While Shiroko might rely on Assist Lrigs to cover weaknesses such as hand control and board control, she remains an interesting card that has seen a fair amount of play in Japan.
Hina Sorasaki [Epilogue: Ishbóshet]

Finally, we come to Hina Sorasaki, the black Lrig, whose main ability focuses on reducing the power of the opponent's Signi. When 3 or more cards are sent from either player's deck to the trash, Hina automatically reduces the power of all of the opponent’s Signi by 3,000. This may seem challenging at first, but several Blue Archive Signi will help you send cards from the deck to the trash, as well as cards from previous sets like Ultra Super Heroes or Dark Tama from P06, making it likely you’ll be able to trigger this ability every turn.
Hina’s 1xGame ability allows you to bring back 2 Signi from the trash to the field, as long as they have different levels. This is helpful in mitigating discard effects or even abilities that send cards from the top of the deck to the trash. The Bond ability, on the other hand, lets you pay 2 ener to bring any Signi back from the trash, providing an extra layer of recursion.
The major challenge for Hina will be dethroning Nanashi Dissona, who has been the most played and stable black Lrig in the Diva Format. It will be interesting to see if Hina can rise to the top and become the new dominant choice for black Lrig players.
